Anthony Brister CBE Honorary President & Lifetime Member

Prior to retiring at the end of September 2024,  Anthony was a leadership and high performance specialist with over seventeen years experience of working at all levels, including board directors and CEOs.  He helped clients to develop and achieve as individuals; to think clearly and creatively; to communicate effectively; to enhance their ‘presence’; and to build and lead cohesive, motivated, high performing teams/organisations.  He worked across the private, public and third sectors.

Previously he had held a number of challenging senior leadership appointments, culminating as Director of Educational and Training Services for the British Army (in the rank of Brigadier) - responsible for learning and development across the whole Army (some 100,000 people).  He brought this knowledge, experience and credibility to all his subsequent activities to great effect - supporting and challenging leaders at all levels to grow and be true leaders (not simply ‘in charge’) in every way – in all that they did.

Anthony is a Qualified Coach and Leadership Mentor - ILM Level 7 Diploma in Leadership Mentoring and Executive Coaching, and also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Further Education).  He is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Continuing Professional Development;
